Ontario's Bill 93, 2008 (Formally Bill 88 2006) An Act to amend the Ombudsman Act with respect to children's aid societies
Children's Aid News, Events and Rallies
September 3, 2010 - Seems the Toronto
Children's Aid Society is now an online
pharmacy. Many people have been deeply
suspicious that CAS is drugging
Ontario's children I guess now it's
confirmed. While Googling the Catholic
Children's Aid Society the page
description caught my eye. I honestly
spit out my tea all over my desk reading
this. I don't know whether their Domain
expired or it was hacked.. either way
it's just another great day watching
Goliath fall.

August 25, 2010 - Cornwall, Ontario -
More rally information and news coverage
coming soon.
August 23, 2010 - Owen Sound, Ontario -
Just over a dozen locals joined in the
rally for accountability outside the
Owen Sound City Hall prior to the 1km
march up to the Children's Aid Society Owen Sound and County of Grey.
According to the rally organizer the
Mayor Ruth Lovell pulled out from
speaking to the concern citizens prior
to the rally. It was also brought to our
attention by one MPP`s office that she
was contacting them about the rally. As
it turned out the MPP`s and the Minister
of Child and Youth Services who were
scheduled to speak also pulled out. As
it turns out the Mayor is a former
Executive Director for the London
Children's Aid Society and many strongly
believe she was only on a useless
fishing expedition regarding the rally.
She was also a Ontario Liberal Party candidate in Bruce—Grey in the 1999 provincial election.
Ruth, you should have spoken to the
victims in your community who have
legitimate concerns about the lack of
oversight. Not every worker is going to
jail Ruth and you can't stop that!
August 20, 2010 - Sudbury, Ontario - The
Sudbury Rally had a lot of hinks from
the public as usual and a few parents
and a few former foster parents took the
time to stop and speak with us.

August 16, 2010 - Toronto, Ontario - the
Queens Park Rally was a lot of fun and
we had plenty of visitors to the Ontario
legislature stop and ask questions about
our Rally. Media Clip coming soon.
August 10, 2010 - Today the Ontario
Government announced that they had
finally decided on a settlement for the
disgraced Pathologist Charles Randal
Smith. The provincial government announced compensation of
only "up to" $250,000 for victims of disgraced pathologist.
While it was a victory that the
Government finally made it public that
they were sorry the compensation worked
out to as little as $2.37 per hour these
victims of wrongful convictions spent in
jail and not to mention the parents that
lost their children. While nobody could
ever be compensated for what they've
lost it was a slap in the face to those
that lost a lot more than they were
given. The Ontario Government clearly
does not place any value on innocence
and make it very clear that innocence is
not a priority to the current provincial
government. Smith still isn't in jail
and won't be. I'm really at a loss for
words today as I'm so upset and it goes
to show why accountability is where it's
at and probably will be unless we make
this an election issue.

July 12, 2010 - Huntsville, Ontario
Rally was a huge success. About 40
people from a walks of life and of all
ages joined the Huntsville protest and
hundreds more stopped to say how
disgusted they were by many recent
reports about what the Children's Aid
was getting away with. We also received
the thumbs up from one police officer. Also, in
attendance were children who miss
friends taken by CAS. They've refused
access to their friends and unable to
support them in a time of need. Another
very hot topic in Huntsville was about
Judge Wood. please read the

troubling to her.
June 9, 2010 - Sudbury, Ontario. The
convicted pedophile and foster parent, Douglas Klasges
that the CAS tried to get a publication
baf for was in court for his sentencing.
Outside the Elm St Court House
protestors held an emergency rally
demanding answers why the CAS who claims
to be broke were protecting his identity
with tax payers money and were asking
who authorised this. We would like to
thank The Sudbury Star and
CTV new for their
coverage of this case. After
sentencing the family of this survivor
ran out of the court house to thank and
notify protestors that 65 year old
pedophile Douglas Klasges was given a 7
year prison term and will be placed on
the Sex Offender Registry for 20 years.
We are also disgusted that the CAS
didn't answer the question why they were
fighting a foster child.
We've asked both OACAS the Children's
Aid Societies high priced lobby group
(paid for with our taxes) and OPSEU the
union representing CAS workers (who have
visited our website) their views about
this CAS's decision to silence this
foster child. They have not responded.
June 7, 2010 - Belleville, Ontario.
Children's Aid victims, advocates, ride
sponsors and the media gathered at Zwick's Park
to meet John Dunn at his first major
stop along his journey to Windsor. John
then rode to the Belleville CAS to hand
out Ride for Accountability flyers.

The Sudbury Star's "CAS employees fight

same day they were crying deficits,
lawyers for the Children's Aid
Society of the Districts of Sudbury and
Manitoulin were in court fighting to
silence a foster child who was molested
from age 11 until she was 14 when she
became pregnant by a foster parent. The
Sudbury CAS was unsuccessful at getting
a full publication ban to prevent her
from naming convicted pedophile and foster parent, Douglas Klasges and the
fact these crimes against her happened
while in foster care.

May 23, 2010 - We hope everyone enjoyed the Victoria Day long weekend
as much as we did. We just wanted to
thank everyone for visiting this site
and
and those who've contacted us to show
your support. Call it a good thing or
bad.. but our websites traffic is up
over 42,000 (correction 62,000) visits per month from the
same time last year. More and more
people are turning to our website and
becoming empowered to take on these baby
snatching organisations once and for
all. See you all at the next rally!
May 25, 2010 - We contacted the RCMP's Protective Policing branch,
the Ontario Provincial Police and
the G8/20 Organizers to avoid scheduling
Children's Aid Rallies during the
Toronto and Huntsville summits. We
wanted to avoid being caught up in any
problems associated with a small
minority of those who attend these types
of protests. We were amazed at not only
how quickly we were contacted by the
Organizers, the OPP and the RCMP but how
friendly and helpful the were. Thanks!
May 21, 2010 - The
Sudbury Children's Aid Rally for Accountability
held from noon until 2pm was another
massive success. Hundreds of drivers
showed support and over 400 flyers were
handed out to people asking for more
information about the rally. Then
minutes before the end of the rally a
false complaint was called in by the
Sudbury Manitoulin Children's Aid
Society claiming we were taking pictures
of their licence plates so we could find
out who they were. I'm unsure how we
could trace their plates but anyways..
We immediately offered the very pleasant
Sgt R. Norman of the Greater Sudbury
Police Service our only camera to use as
evidence if it would lead to a charge of
mischief against the employee that filed
a false police complaint.
We are very disturbed that the Sudbury
CAS still continues to selfishly resort
to filing false police reports and
wasting valuable emergency service
resources as an intimidation tactic
against people trying to stop some of
their workers criminal activity. To all
you cowardly workers fighting oversight
to preventing yourself and coworkers
from doing time for your crimes.
Oversight and criminal investigations
are coming and the people of this
province are learning about you!
was on the same day executive directors
and representatives
of Ontario's 53 Children's Aid Societies and OACAS spent your taxes
to go stick their hands out for your
hard earned taxes. We applaud the
Liberal Government and the Honourable Laurel Broten for standing up to them and saying no.
May 21, 2020 - Please take the time to tell CAS what you really think of
them in their
online survey.

- The Walkerton Mother's Day Children's Aid Rally at the Walkerton Children's Aid Society of the County of Bruce was very cold and rained the entire time. It started off slow and the locals appeared timid.. but then people of Walkerton really started showing a genuine interest in why we would subject ourselves to this awful weather. As the day progressed we started getting lots of support.

First Nations Group held a Rally on Manitoulin Island against the Sudbury-Manitoulin Children's Aid Society in memory of Mona Redbreast, a teenaged girl who, at the age of 13, died while in the care of CAS.
John Fox of Wikwemikong said the movement is gaining momentum and will culminate in a rally being held at the Toronto Council Fire on April 26-29. It coincides with a hearing of a lawsuit being filed by roughly 16,000 people who allege they suffered abuse while in the care of CAS as children during the 1960s.
March 22, 2010 - We would like to thank the members of the local 6500 Steel Workers union that stopped at our rally, took the time to ask what we were fighting for and joined in the our rally. We also enjoyed learning about your fight and our family joined your rally as well.

The Cambridge rally was held Monday, March 1 joined by Chairman of Canada Court Watch, Archbishop Dorian Baxter outside Family and Children Services of The Waterloo Region at 168 Hespeler Rd in Cambridge. This rally was for support of Bill 93, which would implement oversight by the Ombudsman of Ontario and hold CAS accountable.

February 2010 - Just over a month after creators of Facebook fan page based on and linked from Ontario Association of Children's Aid Societies (OACAS) "Use Your Voice" or "I am Your Children's Aid" ad campaigns website created with Ontario's Tax Payers money they quickly deleted it. While Facebook remained neutral they did however remove many fake profiles created by people that appeared to stop pleas for the CAS to be investigated, Ombudsman's oversight or want the public to know what's really happening behind closed doors. Representatives and supporters of the fan page initially attempted censoring, deleting or dismissing claims criminal activity by CAS submitted by the public before deleting the page altogether.
Sadly, It closed the door on an open and productive dialogue between many good CAS critics, supporters and victims who were working towards improving child protection in Ontario while exposing the criminal activity, demanding Ombudsman oversight and criminal investigations of many of the 53 Children's Aid Societies. They deleted posts that were desperate attempts by the public to show evidence, report illegal activity and reports of child abuse all of which is mandatory by law both under Child Family Services Act and the Criminal Code of Canada.
While we are not lawyers many believe the actions by certain representatives have given us no reason to believe the people who appeared to represent OACAS in this matter or it's members are investigating these claims of abuse and criminal activity or that independent police forces have been notified to investigate these serious accusations. Many victims have relentlessly staged rallies, filed complaints with the Ministry of Child and Youth Services, Police, their local MPP's and the Office of the Premier, Dalton McGuinty and nothing is being done to investigate thousands of claims.
We strongly believe the public has a greater right to know the truth and deletion of these reports may be obstruction, mischief or perjury under the Canadian Criminal Codes. The Facebook page in question was located below. http://www.facebook.com/pages/Your-Childrens-Aid/211826157943
January 2010 - OASAC launches the "Use Your Voice" or "useyourvoice.ca" and "I am Your Children's Aid" an ad campaign that is upsetting victims of Ontario's Children's Aid Societies. A Use Your Voicespoof website has been created to counter what is believe by many victims to be a multi-million dollar cover-up. Also, Facebook fan group was also created to educate, Children's Aid Society victims, the public and CAS supporters about what's really happening behind closed doors. The Facebook and the victims are joining the group to tell the public what's really going on.
July 09, 2009 - Constance Lake First Nation Chief and Council have taken a bold new resolution to protect it's youth by banning all members of the Ministry of Children and Youth Services and Children's Aid workers from their territory. Chief Arthur Moore says, "If for any reason a representative enters onto Constance Lake Territory, they will be treated as trespassers, and if any children are removed from the community it will be considered a kidnapping." http://www.newswire.ca/en/releases/archive/July2009/09/c5303.html
